This week was so much fun!!!
I honestly don´t know what im sending because this computer is not the best but if I can remember right it should be,
This week was busy with my companion in Lima and Our multizone that we had in Ica. With my companion gone, I had to have a member with me to be my companion so I could still work in my area. Well, I wasn´t totally used to only being with a member and after a few lessons I told the member she could go home if she wanted (forgetting I wasn´t with my companion). She was like really? Yea, of course go ahead, I tell her. So she calls a taxi and gets in and then I realize I´m alone and I freaked out and was like “WAIT!!! NO!!!! YOU CAN¨T GO!!” hahaha it was like a dramatic love movie. I seriously almost died, my heart was like in my shoes.
Friday we had our multizone and it was SOOO good!! We had to travel three hours to Ica, in a bus that left at 6AM so we were all dead. My two favorite parts were the talks from Hermana Douglas (presidents wife) and Elder Mickelsen who is one of the asistents to the president. Hermana Douglas was talking about our trials, and all the things that are hard for us, and she said to us, ¿Do you seriously think He doesn´t know? Wheewwww that impacted me so much. It´s crazy how often we think we´re alone when that literally will never ever be the case. Elder Mickelsen drew the temple on the pizarra and asked us all the things somebody has to do or have to go to the temple. We made a pretty sizey list, and then very loud and in english he said, “Why does God require so much?” Silence. Then I replied and said it´s because he gave so much. Anyway, his whole talk was super powerful. He said this work requires nothing less than excellence, and we just need to hold on. He said when José Smith was suffering and prayed to Heavenly Father, He told him to just hold on. He´s seriously the next John Bytheway.
Anyways, I love you all! Please keep writing me!!
This week was amazing!!!! My companion and I taught more lessons than the number of excellence and had a ton of investigadores y menos activos in the church on Sunday!!! We are on fire and loving it!! My comp is in Lima for concilio this week so I am a little scared and stressed out but I´m sure it will all be fine!
My companion and I were a little scared that we weren´t going to have anything to write about this week because nothing super exciting happened, but then Sunday happened! Sunday, during the second hour, my companion got up to lead the opening hymn, and this lady who was holding her baby started screaming “Help me! Help me!” Her husband was having a seizure. All the men ran to him and tried to hold him and help, all the women ran to the otherside of the room to cry, and those too lazy to move started yelling things like “lift up his hands!” “Get a fan!”. It was crazy. I felt so bad watching him suffer through that. I can´t imagine how humble he has to be in a situation like that. Him and his wife.
On a brighter side, we´ve been teaching a less active Romina. Her mom is less active too but won´t listen. Romina was electricuted and had to have surgery on her face and couldn´t leave her house. Anyway, the miracle is that she has an older brother, non-member, who NEVER will listen. This week, as we were teaching Romina, he passed us and we invited him to join and he said OK! We were like whaaatttt?!?! The next lesson we had with Romina, her brother Raul was inside with all his guy friends, and left all of them in his house to sit outside in our lesson!! He is reading the book of mormon and came to church! He even stayed an extra hour to listen to our coucil meeting hahaa.
Anyway, I love you all so very much!!
Read, Pray, and Go to church!!
Love, Hermana Freyre
Sorry if I have repeat Pictures, I suck at computers!
